Transavia — Flying Europe with Ease and a Light Heart

We are proud to welcome Transavia officially onboard Magelline.

This partnership brings one of Europe’s most established low-cost airlines into Magelline’s growing airline portfolio — opening new routes, new possibilities, and smoother journeys across Europe and the Mediterranean.

Transavia is an airline that invites travellers to explore vibrant cities, sun-kissed beaches, and lesser-known European gems without stretching their budgets. Every journey with Transavia feels relaxed and approachable, blending smart pricing with a feel-good flying experience.

A Longstanding European Airline

Founded in 1966, Transavia has been flying from the Netherlands for nearly six decades. Today, the airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of KLM and an integral part of the Air France–KLM Group — combining low-cost efficiency with the operational strength of one of Europe’s largest aviation families.

Over the years, Transavia has built a strong reputation for reliability, simplicity, and accessibility, making it a trusted choice for both leisure and regional travel.

A Network Built Around Europe

From its primary hub at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), Transavia connects passengers to a wide range of destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean. Additional Dutch bases at Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) and Eindhoven Airport (EIN) offer convenient departure points for travellers across the country. Transavia also operates an extensive network from France, with key hubs at Paris–Orly (ORY), Lyon (LYS), and Nantes (NTE) — placing a rich selection of European routes within easy reach. Operations from Munich Airport (MUC) further extend the airline’s presence into Central Europe, opening a gateway to Bavaria and beyond. Beyond its main hubs, Transavia flies from more than 20 countries across Europe and the Mediterranean, reinforcing its role as a strong leisure-focused and regional connectivity airline.

Low-Cost Travel, Done Right

Transavia redefines low-cost flying through transparent fares, friendly service, and dependable schedules. By keeping flights affordable, the airline allows travellers to spend more on what truly matters — whether that’s a seaside lunch, museum tickets, or a spontaneous road trip after landing. From lively capitals to coastal escapes and mountain adventures, Transavia makes European travel simple, accessible, and exciting.

Fleet & Sustainability

Transavia operates a modern and efficient fleet, including Airbus A321neo and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, designed to balance passenger comfort with operational efficiency. The airline continues to renew its fleet with next-generation Airbus aircraft, supporting a more sustainable future for aviation. Aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family are significantly quieter than previous generations, consume less fuel, and reduce CO₂ emissions — improving both environmental performance and the onboard experience. Transavia also applies advanced engine water-wash cleaning systems, enhancing fuel efficiency and lowering emissions. Through these measures, the airline achieves substantial fuel savings and meaningful reductions in CO₂ output. In parallel, Transavia encourages passengers to travel lighter, highlighting how even small reductions in luggage weight help reduce fuel burn and environmental impact.

Onboard Experience

Transavia operates an all-Economy Class cabin, designed for comfort and efficiency on short- and medium-haul routes. While there is no Business Class, passengers can choose preferred seating options and enjoy the airline’s “Selection on Board” service, offering food and drinks available for purchase during the flight. Cabins are clean, well maintained, and functional — reflecting Transavia’s practical, no-nonsense approach to flying.

Industry Recognition

Transavia is certified as a 3-star low-cost airline by Skytrax, reflecting solid standards across airport services, onboard product quality, cabin cleanliness, and staff performance — a strong benchmark within the low-cost aviation segment.

Magelline’s Perspective

In Magelline’s eyes, Transavia is a dependable companion for European journeys — approachable, efficient, and quietly reliable. It’s an airline that helps passengers spend less on the flight and more on the memories waiting at the destination.
